Bonjour mes amis! Hello everyone. This is our second week of learning from home. I hope everyone is well and keeping busy at home. I have put together another week of learning activities. It will follow our last week’s model, as this is what we would usually do at school.
Please remember that if you ever have any questions, please reach out to me on seesaw or email me at michelle.boudreau@ocsb.ca.
Have a great week and stay well!
Reading Monday:
If you cannot find a french book, you can use an English book from home and translate the words to French using Google Translate. Remember, there are lots of online French books to use as well at these links:

Have your child talk about the main characters, the setting, their favourite part, their favourite colours… They can even draw a picture of what they liked best about the story.
Ask your child to read the following google slide show. It is a French easy reader that reviews our thematic vocabulary words:

Thinking Tuesday:
We usually work in our duotangs on Tuesdays at school.
This is a printable document of the French alphabet. Your child can do as many as they wish over the next few weeks. There is no rush.
Writing Wednesday:
If you have started a French journal at home, today is the day to continue working in it. If not, this is a good day to start one.
Here are some sentence starters:
J’aime… (I like)
Je vois… (I see)
Voici… (Here is)
This is a good time to use some of our new spring French vocabulary words. “J’aime sauter dans la flaque.”
Tech Thursday:
Consider exploring some new and fun French apps. Please go to the “French Apps” post on this blog for the links.
Fun Friday:
We usually go to Learning Centers every Friday. So, let your child pick their own learning today. Being involved in their play and talking to them about what they are doing and learning provides lots of opportunities to speak French. Point out simple vocabulary words like colours, numbers, animals, food… You can ask them to be the teacher and tell you what they know in French! I’m sure you will be amazed!
Have a great week! Happy Learning!
