Noël

It's great to be back at school and teaching French to our wonderful grade ones!  Over the next two weeks we will be having lots of fun in French learning Christmas songs, vocabulary words and stories.
Here is a list of our new French vocabulary words:

L'halloween

We have been practicing our Halloween vocabulary every day for the last two weeks and are getting so excited for the big day.  I brought my guitar to school and we have been having lots of fun singing "C'est l'halloween" together.  Check out the songs page on this blog for the link.

l'automne

The month of September is almost behind us.  It's hard to believe that a whole month has already passed since I met all your lovely children.  
We have been working hard on settling into our daily routines and learning simple phrases and questions to help with our day, such as "Puis-je aller aux toilettes?" and "Puis-je aller boire de l'eau?".
We have been practicing our back to school vocabulary words and next week we will begin our Social Studies unit on our Roles and Responsibilities at home and at school.  First we will talk about our family.  I will add family vocabulary words to this post to practice at home.
We will also be talking about our emotions this week.  Please check out our YouTube songs to see the songs that will address this topic.

Welcome Back!  I will be your child's FSL teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Please use this blog on a weekly basis to see what we are up to in the French classroom.  I will share songs, poems, vocabulary words and pictures of the students at work.
